Casey Carlson Makes American Idol Top 32   by Russell Benjamin

Casey Carlson is one of the most talked about contestants in this year’s American Idol singing competition. Casey is a 20 year old college student from Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Casey graduated from Eden Prairie High School in 2006 and is currently attending the University of Minnesota. She is currently studying to obtain a major in Advertising and a minor in Psychology.

The judges at American Idol were impressed immediately when Casey Carlson stepped into the audition room in Kansas City. Casey seemed confident and strong as she walked onto the stage and sang Vanessa Carlton’s “A Thousand Miles”. She impressed Simon enough that he stated “I like you a lot. You have a good vibe about you.” Casey wowed the judges with her good looks and beautiful voice, featuring a combination of power and finesse. She impressed Kara, the newest judge, who called Casey “the complete package”.

Soon after being featured on American Idol, Casey took the web by storm as her recent bikini photo shoot pictures came under the spotlight. Casey Carlson had recently participated in a calendar shoot with Campus Girls USA, a company that sells calendars of bikini-clad college students for a great cause. Campus Girls USA donates 100% of the profits to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. So whether or not everyone agrees with Casey participating in the sexy bikini shoot, they can agree with the fact that she did it for a good cause.

As of the writing of this article, American Idol has not yet shown the Hollywood week episodes where the top 32 contestants are revealed. However it has become evident from information circulating the internet that the Hollywood week has already come to a close and the top 32 have already been chosen. The contestants are under a very strong commitment not to reveal the results of Hollywood week, but eventually small hints slip into cyberspace. Friends and family members attempt to be tight lipped, but news of this magnitude it difficult to hide completely. In addition, American Idol quickly removes all Myspace and Facebook photos as soon as a contestant joins the top 32. This is to avoid situations like the Antonella Barba incident from last year, where pictures of a very scantily clad Antonella spread like wildfire across the internet.

From hints such as these, one popular blogger has put together a complete list of the top 32 contestants from American Idol… before the show has aired. The list has revealed what many expected: Casey Carlson has made the top 32 on American Idol. The complete list of supposed contestants can be found on http://casey-carlson-idol.blogspot.com.

In a few days the American Idol Hollywood show will air, the list will be validated (or not) and the official top 32 will be revealed. Until then, viewers will be waiting in anticipation for the upcoming events to unfold. Fans of Casey Carlson will hopefully be able to release a huge sigh of relief if the blogger prognostication turns out to be true and Casey is, in fact, in the top 32.
